Marin County, California, is an amazing place to be. With so many great communities, it can be hard to pick the perfect one for you. The following will give you a look into the feel of each neighborhood to help make the decision a little easier.

San Anselmo

San Anselmo offers a unique atmosphere. There is a creek that runs through the area, and the streets are lined with trees. If you like cafes and boutiques, San Anselmo has a great main street where you can find a plethora of them. Another great thing about this community is the San Francisco Theological Society, a landmark with a gorgeous park in the center of the neighborhood.

Sausalito

If you love the water, you’ll love Sausalito. Located across from the Golden Gate Bridge, it is right on the water. Here, you’ll find amazing seafood restaurants, harbors, yacht clubs, and other water activities. There are also parks, beaches, and great views of San Francisco.

Mill Valley

Mill Valley was often a place where people would go to get away from the city, which makes this place the perfect fit for someone looking for a more small-town feel. It’s known for its schools and has some of the most highly-rated institutions in all of Northern California, so it’s a great place for families. As for events, art is the main focus here, with its annual film festival and a fall arts festival.

Corte Madera

This community has a wide variety of estates, ranging from condos to homes to cabins, so no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll almost certainly find it here. Some are located on the Bay, some on the lake, and even some on Mount Tamalpais. This area has two different shopping centers, The Village and The Town Center, where you’ll find great shopping and dining. Its location is also very convenient for commuting, as it sits in between the Bay, Mill Valley, and Mount Tamalpais.

Larkspur

Larkspur is a neighborhood with a more retro-suburban feel. A beautiful creek runs through the town, and there are many pathways for walking and biking alongside it. There is also an old railroad in town that has been transformed into a biking path. Larkspur is known for having nice weather year-round, which means you’ll be able to enjoy its picturesque scenery every day.
